Tim Holtz Idea-ology Thrift Shop Ephemera Pack

Tim Holtz Idea-ology Thrift Shop Ephemera Pack

I purchased this ephemera pack a number of years ago. I used it for scrapbooking, cards and other paper craft projects I had in the works. A thrift shop is a place where one can usually find anything — especially stuff you didn’t know you wanted . . . How many times have you gone “just to look” and came out with a whole bag full of items you just had to purchase? It happens all the time . . .

We Are Gearing Up To Fall . . .

For me, fall is harvest and Halloween . . . also Thanksgiving . . . It is a wonderful time of year to include a variety of craft projects together . . . A variety of ideas that make the season meaningful for you and your family. It is a unique time of year that brings images to your mind, based on your personal experiences . . . many of those are shared experiences . . . so share them with your crafting.

The Addams Family Abode

It’s amazing how many years ago, this series was made and was popular . . . and it is still in our hearts and minds — especially around Fall and the Halloween Season . . .

Papercrafts are a great way to relax and enjoy an evening either alone or with friends and family. It’s fun to work on projects together and also alone — or together on different projects . . . It’s nice when you need a helping hand or suggestions on how to best put the thing together . . .

I do enjoy Ray Keim’s models. They are great to display in your home and to give as gifts. They are truly a labor of love . . . Be sure when you click the link in the image above to give a bit of a donation in appreciation for having this wonderful replica to make and share with your family and friends . . . or relive a bit of nostalgia.

I Got A Bit Side-Tracked Here

That seems to be what happens many time while crafting . . . One thing leads to another . . . New ideas pop up . . . That’s why I like this particular selection of ephemera from Tim Holtz. Some of it you may find useless . . . until you find a use for it . . . Some will engage your imagination.

I know when building 3-D models, sometimes I want to stamp something on it or paste something here or there to make it unique to me . . . or to the one for whom I’m making it. This is what is so wonderful about paper crafts. We start with an idea someone had and we build it and create something that is uniquely our own.

Ravensblight Ghost House Is My Absolute Favorite Haunted House

Over the years I don’t know how many of these I’ve made. The secret compartment is the best! I am so delighted to be able to share this with you . . . and hope you will share it with others as well.

Just click the image and download and print it on cardstock . . . A wonderful adventure in papercrafting awaits you.

I do appreciate your stopping by! I have links for free stuff and links where you can purchase things . . . It’s your choice. Enjoy!

Easter Is Around The Corner — It Would Be Great To Have A Fun Family Project . . . These cute bunnies are just the thing — you can put them on packages . . . decorate your dinner table — these would be adorable place setting cards . . . I’m sure you and your family will think of other uses for them as well.

Enjoy and Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Never Too Early To Begin Planning For Halloween

And These Coffin Treat Boxes Are Great For Your Ghost Hunting Friends.

They’re not just for Halloween … but if that is your plan, it is best to begin early — you’ll need to make dozens and dozens of these.

I received a comment from a Grandmother who said her granddaughter would love these!! I agree!! She will probably want her grandmother to make up a lot of them so she can fill them with sweet treats and hand out to her friends … or depending upon her age, she and her friends can make their own …

My friend Ray O’Bannon over at Ravensblight has a whole selection of coffins from which to choose to make any spooky celebration special.

You may find some other items of interest you’d like to make from his Toy Shop — they’re all Haunted Paper Toys you can make. Just print them on your printer using cardstock, follow Ray O’Bannon’s instructions with illustrations and you’ll have some great haunted items to display at your Halloween Party or decorate your house or buffet table …

Just click the images on the page and you’ll be taken to the Ravensblight website to select which of the coffins you’d like to print out.

Here are the links if you’re a bit impatient:

This will give you quite a lovely selection of boxes to have around to decorate your home … or to hide some special sweet treats. I do like them all and have used those with a more square shape for other occasions when I needed an interesting treat box. A footlocker type of box is excellent for kids going to camp or college students going off to school … And, of course, all the ghost hunters who love spending time in cemeteries …

I’m a great fan of the haunted houses. Ray has quite a selection of these and even a grave yard … You can have some fun making a lot of his paper toys. I thought I saw a new one … The Gothic Chapel. It even has a hidden chamber …

I do need to check it out … and you can, too. Click Here.

Sorry … I got a bit distracted. This always happens when I take a stroll on over to RavensBlight and look around. It definitely feeds my imagination and reminds me of Real Ghost Stories I’ve heard and collected over the years … Let me see if I have one that will go along with coffins, grave yards … and a Gothic Chapel … That definitely seems like a tall order …

It seems that just about every place is haunted or has a haunted history … or ghost hunters or urban explorers spook themselves when they go out exploring and doing their 3 o’clock in the morning challenges. I know I can get a bit creeped out just walking around my backyard during the wee hours of the morning — I sometimes hear strange sounds I can’t identify and wonder if they’re paranormal in nature …

Here are two videos One by Patty of the G Team and the other by Stacy of Misguided Road Trips on a very scary adventure they had at The Shadow Cemetery out in the woods — far away from anywhere …

Patty of The G Team Paranormal Video:

Stacy’s Video That Same Night …

Oh My Goodness!!

Cemeteries are definitely a bit creepy day or night, but for Patty and Stacy to go out there … what were they thinking??!!

They had experienced shadow figures before. Could it have been a bear … or a person … or a ghost ?

It is good we have so very many ghost hunters who go out to known haunted places to capture video evidence of the paranormal. To prove that there is another realm that enteracts with us … All is fine when these “spirits” are friendly and mean no harm … I honestly can’t say that what both women experienced was harmless …

Grabbing Stacy’s shirt and pulling her back … draining her of her energy …

Knocking Patty down … that was scary!!

They were leaving … They meant no harm … I’ve heard that shadow people are mean and they will physically attack. I’ve been very fortunate that the shadow people I’ve seen out of the corner of my eye are scampering away …

It does make you wonder what is going on …

I hope you enjoyed this post. It did go a bit all over the place … I do like to give you a bit of variety 🙂

Are You Familiar With Ravensblight?

Ray O’Bannon is a talented artist who created Ravenscraft.

Since it is finally fall/autumn, I thought I’d share some of my favorite Ray O’Bannon Haunted Toys.

Of course, it’s The Ghost House!

It also has a Secret Chamber . . .

Well, as I remember the story . . . The house was built in 1820 by Captain Joshua Harsh. Yes, his temperment seemed to match his name. He was a seaman — a Ship Captain as I recall . . . but he was rumored to be a pirate . . . and into the dark arts.

He built this house, but the building only occurred at night . . . not a strange occurance in Ravensblight . . . but all the same, it seemed quite odd.

He did bring home a bride to his new home . . . who was heavily veiled . . .

And she died mysteriously after lighting the lamp post in the yard . . . do you see it?

That lamp post still burns brightly . . . even to this day . . . inspite of other residents who purchased this property . . . and is still burning as it is awaiting a new owner . . .

This papercraft has a Secret Chamber which I mentioned earlier . . .

That’s what makes this paper craft Ghost House so special to me! I can put some of my own “treasures” inside.

I’ve made several of these in the past and given them as gifts . . . I wonder if they found the treasures I selected for them . . .

It really doesn’t matter — about the “treasures” . . . just that there is a secret chamber waiting to be discovered.

I also added some spooky characters to dress us the place a bit . . .

There are two sets . . . It is difficult to decide which are my favorites so I have a selection from both sets decorating my Ghost House . . . and, of course, you can do the same . . .

And, my Ghost House has a story all of its own . . . I just did that for my own amusement, but you can be true to Ray O’Bannon and stay with his story . . .

I kind of like having a mad scientists . . . or maybe a coven of witches building this Ghost House . . . and, of course, mine isn’t from Ravensblight, but built in my own hometown . . . which has a colorful haunted history all of its own . . . for those who are interested . . . but not everyone is into ghosts and real ghost stories . . .

Seriously, who wants to know that such “interesting” monsters are haunting their hometown . . . ???

All of these Free Printables are compliments of Ray O’Bannon over at Ravensblight. Just click any of the images above to print out your Ghost House and Micro Monsters.

Thanks for stopping by! And Happy Fall to you!!

Ravensblight Cemetery Free Paper Craft

Ray O’Bannon has been busy over at RavensBlight.

He has this cool cemetery complete with all the graves . . .

It does seem a big crowded . . .

It would be worthwhile to take some time to check it out and read the assembling instructions before printing it out on card stock. I personally like to see how it all comes together before getting into the middle of it and discovering I glued something wrong.

This is really exciting to have a fancy cemetery to go with all the great haunted places you can make as well.

Ray has also included an interview with the caretaker. Now that is truly something.

And, the place won’t get lonely, there are lots of “monsters” you can place in and around the place.

I’m sure you remember these guys . . . I’ve even used them as cupcake toppers for my Halloween celebrations.

Be sure to take a look around RavensBlight. There are lots of haunted toys that may be of interest to you.

Besides all the haunted buildings, there are haunted ships — those are real treasures. And there are vehicles and airplanes. Keep on looking and you’ll find a lot of things you’ll want to make for yourself or a particular member of your family or even a friend or two.

And don’t forget all those great coffins you can make and fill with goodies for your guests.

I know it’s spring and Easter is coming up, but those coffins with tasty treats might just hit the spot with your ghost hunting friends and all the little ghouls you might have coming around.

Have some fun with this cemetery and the monsters . . . and whatever you find of interest.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Skeletal Band With Backup Musicians Paper Craft

My friends over at RavensBlight always make me laugh with the talent of Ray O’Bannon.

Not only is there a Skeletal Band, but there are also Backup Musicians.

They’re all FREE for you to print out and assemble.

I suppose some introductions are in order: The Band consists of Nash, Mic and Boots. The Backup Musicians are Sky, Tony and Charlie.

Just click the images to the right and the left and you’ll be taken to the download page over at RavensBlight.

As I mentioned before, The Band and Backup Musicians are all compliments of Ray O’Bannon at RavensBlight. They are FREE to print out on your personal printer. They come complete with assembly instructions.

These guys come with their own stage . . . and light show.

As you download them, print them out, cut them out and begin assembling them, you’ll become a bit more familiar with them.

You may not want to print out and assemble the whole band and backup musicians, you may have a drummer in your house . . . and Boots is the one for you . . . or the keyboard with Tony. Or, there could be one that has that special look about him that you can’t resist.

A six piece band seems to be a winner . . . but you can choose the ones you want to print out and assemble.

They’re an old group of guys that have been hanging out at the cemetery for much too long before Ray O’Bannon set them up at RavensBlight. They are a regular Friday and Saturday Night Hit . . . You can name the band whatever fits for your personal preference of music and  style — even for the occasion. These guys love all the holidays.

Have some fun with these skeletal fellows.

Thanks for stopping by!
