Are You Familiar With Ravensblight?

Ray O’Bannon is a talented artist who created Ravenscraft.

Since it is finally fall/autumn, I thought I’d share some of my favorite Ray O’Bannon Haunted Toys.

Of course, it’s The Ghost House!

It also has a Secret Chamber . . .

Well, as I remember the story . . . The house was built in 1820 by Captain Joshua Harsh. Yes, his temperment seemed to match his name. He was a seaman — a Ship Captain as I recall . . . but he was rumored to be a pirate . . . and into the dark arts.

He built this house, but the building only occurred at night . . . not a strange occurance in Ravensblight . . . but all the same, it seemed quite odd.

He did bring home a bride to his new home . . . who was heavily veiled . . .

And she died mysteriously after lighting the lamp post in the yard . . . do you see it?

That lamp post still burns brightly . . . even to this day . . . inspite of other residents who purchased this property . . . and is still burning as it is awaiting a new owner . . .

This papercraft has a Secret Chamber which I mentioned earlier . . .

That’s what makes this paper craft Ghost House so special to me! I can put some of my own “treasures” inside.

I’ve made several of these in the past and given them as gifts . . . I wonder if they found the treasures I selected for them . . .

It really doesn’t matter — about the “treasures” . . . just that there is a secret chamber waiting to be discovered.

I also added some spooky characters to dress us the place a bit . . .

There are two sets . . . It is difficult to decide which are my favorites so I have a selection from both sets decorating my Ghost House . . . and, of course, you can do the same . . .

And, my Ghost House has a story all of its own . . . I just did that for my own amusement, but you can be true to Ray O’Bannon and stay with his story . . .

I kind of like having a mad scientists . . . or maybe a coven of witches building this Ghost House . . . and, of course, mine isn’t from Ravensblight, but built in my own hometown . . . which has a colorful haunted history all of its own . . . for those who are interested . . . but not everyone is into ghosts and real ghost stories . . .

Seriously, who wants to know that such “interesting” monsters are haunting their hometown . . . ???

All of these Free Printables are compliments of Ray O’Bannon over at Ravensblight. Just click any of the images above to print out your Ghost House and Micro Monsters.

Thanks for stopping by! And Happy Fall to you!!

Disney Icon Easter Candy Boxes

I find it fun to make candy boxes for all occasions.

Disney has a lovely collection of candy boxes that is sure to please everyone in your family.

I’m finding they’re not just for children . . . adults get a kick out of them, too!!

Let me see . . . where shall I begin . . .

This is a lovely way to ring in spring . . . and Easter . . . maybe for a spring birthday party . . .

Click the image of Minnie Mouse to be taken to the PDF to download and print.

Next we have Daisy Duck . . . She wanted to join in the fun this Easter along with her pal Donald Duck . . . they do make a lovely couple . . .

Oh my! There’s Winnie the Pooh who has also joined us for an outstanding Easter Candy Box . . .

I think from all the candy you purchased from my previous post, these Disney candy boxes will come in handy. You may like to place them in an Easter Basket or display them on a table or the mantle in your home. They are certainly colorful.

Maybe Tinker Bell’s Secret Of Wings Gift Box would be more appropriate for your Easter giving.

These make lovely hostess gifts you can fill with candy or trinkets.

This would be lovely for a spring birthday party . . . you may enjoy showing some Disney videos . . .  or maybe playing a Disney game . . .

I do wonder what would be a wonderful addition to your Easter and spring celebration . . .

Maybe you would enjoy some other candy . . .

You may find these links helpful:

I’m sure I saw some board games . . .

I don’t want to get too carried away. Click one of the links and shop around for what you know your family and friends would enjoy for your spring or Easter celebration.

Minion Egg Dress Up For Easter

Let’s have some fun with your Easter Egg decorating.

How about dressing your eggs to look like Minions?

And creating your own Minion in the process . . . Sound like a good idea?

Change up the eggs and the mouth — add hair and go a bit crazy with different ways you can create a minion of your very own.

I have a PDF of the various parts, hair, eyes, mouth, overalls that you can print out on your personal printer, cut out and allow the kids to have some fun. Just click the little minion on the right.

But, this is only the beginning! Add some bits and pieces of colored card stock and design different hair styles and a different outfit than overalls. Use your imagination and allow the kids to get into this activity as well.

I know it’s last minute, but most of us die our Easter eggs the night before . . . but you may have them already done. Just play with some of the yellow ones . . . or get some plastic eggs and dress them up — after you fill them with sweet treats.

I thought it would be a bit of fun!

But look what I’ve found!!!

Disney’s Mickey and Minnie are always a favorite.

Click the image to the left to be taken to the PDF to download and print out, cut out and wrap around your Easter Eggs.

Now, you have a bit of a decision to make . . . create your own minions or use these Mickey and Minnie wrappers . . . or maybe do both . . . or put Mickey ears on your minions . . . or Minnie’s bow . . . or Mickey’s pants . . . You may be able to have a bit of fun with these. I’m sure you can think of other variations that would work well with your creative endeavor.

Paper Craft Easter Bunny

This happy Easter bunny is a great craft for you to do — you may have just enough time to make a few for family and friends.

I love how these 3D models are created and then put in PDF form in order to share with others.

Paper-Replika.com is the source for this adorable bunny, The PDF comes complete with all the pieces you’ll need to make one of your own. You can, of course, add your own embellishments to make it more personal for you or for the person who may receive it. I think it’s fine the way it is, but for those who live on the beach, it may be fun to add some shells . . . you can add flowers and maybe some little trinkets to bling it up a bit. The finishing touches will make it unique and more personal.

I do like it and recommend that you click the picture to the right to be taken to the Paper-Replika website so you can get to the PDF to print it out and assemble.

Since my printer is on the fritz right now I’ll have to wait for my replacement printer, but I’ll be sure to print this out as soon as my new printer is set up. But, just in case it isn’t, I did a bit of looking around and I found this great Tree House. I don’t know about you, but a tree house has always been something I wanted to have. Now since I won’t be building one to use in my backyard, I thought a paper craft one would be fun to have.

You can click this tree house picture to the left and be taken to the Paper-Replika website where you can download it.

I do like the way Julius Perdana, the creator of these paper crafts, put the tree house in a wooded area with rocks. It does look like a cabin in the woods and a tree house seems to be a natural for that setting.

As with the bunny paper craft, you can add your own finishing touches to this tree house to make it fit your ideal — or the one you did have as a child or the one you will make for your children in your own backyard.

Well, bunnies, tree houses and spring all seem to go together. I do hope you’ll visit Paper-Replika and take a look around. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.

Thanks for stopping by and my personal thanks to Julius Perdana at Paper-Replika for these great paper crafts I found.

Disney Free Printables

This is my 500th post here at TwoCansOnAString.com — I should make it something special.

With Valentine’s Day right on our heels, I think maybe something to print out would be in order.

Something simple for a children’s school or church party.

Or something for you to give your special valentine’s.

These Disney cup cake toppers and cup cake doilies are great . . . you can pack the cup cakes in a lunch or have them for dessert. They do look lovely.

For the toppers, just glue on a toothpick . . . and for the cup cake doilies, you’ll wrap them around the cup cake papers to make them look festive.

Just click the image to the left or to the right to download the PDF and print out.

I do like these. I’m also wondering about other things that may be of interest to you . . .

We’ve done the Valentine Mickey Candy Box and the Valentine Minnie Candy Box . . . but what about a Stitch Valentine Candy Box?

The links above will take you to the PDFs to download and print out on card stock. I think that would be enough to keep you busy this day before Valentine’s Day . . . I’m always thinking something else might be fun to make for you to give or decorate . . . or for your children to make and give to friends . . .

Something simple, but fun . . .

How about some Disney Lollipop Labels — They’re a Valentine that has a lollipop attached. They are cute and fun for your children to hand out to friends. There are five of them — Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy. I think they would be fun just to have around the house . . . or give at work . . . You could have them in a cup and people can pick the one that appeals to them.

There are a lot of links on this page for you to click . . . I do hope in this 500th post, I have something you like . . . if not, it wasn’t for lack of trying on my part. Thank you for stopping by!

Last Minute Valentines For The Kids

I know Valentine’s Day is tomorrow!!!

Some of us do wait until the last minute.

These are so easy, the kids can do them! You just need to click the picture, print out the PDF of four different Minion Valentine Day cards on card stock, tape a sucker on them, fill out the To and From lines and you’re in business. Put them all in a bag for the kids to take to school and no one will know you waited until the last minute to complete these Valentines for a school or church party.

I think these work for all ages. Not a lot of mushy sentiments attached to them.

There are many suckers you can find in your local market — some may even be on sale . . . but even not, you can have your children give a Valentine’s Day card with something special attached to it.

With a bit of creativity on your part, you can change the sentiment and even remove the To and From lines and use the images as birthday party favors or for other occasions. This is one of those designs that work for many celebrations.

I hope you’ll use these cards. I like them!!
