Halloween Costumes For The Whole Family

Time is drawing near. You need to get the costumes. And, of course, there’s the candy!

Click the links below to see what you can see in the category of costumes for kids, adults and pets. Yes, pets. These costumes are definitely hot sellers. The pet costumes are much more popular than those for the rest of the family. They don’t want to be left out of the fun. They may even want to take a little walk around the neighborhood to keep an eye on the kids . . . or they’ll be dressed up to assist you when answering the door to the trick-or-treaters.

There’s an excellent selection of candy . . . maybe you’ll find some of your favorites that the supermarket isn’t carrying . . . or they ran out.

Also look at accessories to add some finishing touches on any costume you select.

Be prepared if the weather turns a bit chilly. You want to be warm and have your kids bundled up, too.

I was surprised by the little nip in the air this morning. It felt so good after the hotter temperatures we were experiencing. Thought we would get some rain . . . just passed me by . . . but I can always hope for some rainy weather between now and Halloween.

Pumpkins are in short supply this year. The pumpkin crop didn’t seem as plentiful as in years gone by. Yes, you can still find them, but not in the assortment and variety of previous years.

I hope you’ve taken advantage of all the free craft ideas I have for you within the archives. You have time to decorate to your heart’s content.

Thanks for stopping by!

If, however, Halloween isn’t your thing, or it is, but you’re thinking ahead, I have one more link for you:

Have a great time shopping . . . or making your list 🙂

Make Your Own Haunted Village — Free Printables

I got up early this morning. Just looking around for something interesting to share.

I absolutely love paper crafts with FREE templates. I have a Haunted House on my other website http://oldhauntedstuff.com and thought for here at TwoCansOnAString.com I could do so very much better. I could give you a whole village with a whole lot of micromonsters to add to it. Along with anything else that grabbed my attention.

I understand this is a major undertaking on my part and will be a major project for you. I am very much into family and having a family work together on projects. That’s what makes paper crafts so very much fun as far as I’m concerned.

Haunted Houses are very popular for Halloween with ghosts, ghouls, witches, vampires, zombies and all things creepy.

This is a wonderful craft project you can use as a centerpiece on your dining room table. It may look nice on your mantle. Or any space you would like to decorate for Halloween.

When people realize you made these yourself, be prepared to print out some more or tell them about TwoCansOnAString.com  I would greatly appreciate it.

All right, enough rambling, let’s get started!

I print these free templates on card stock. The instructions I print out on regular printer paper.

There are also two backdrops:  Moonlit sky or Sunset sky . . . or you can have two different Main Streets . . . one by Moonlight and another at Sunset . . . Play Betrayal At House On The Hill This Halloween

Betrayal At House On The Hill – 2nd Edition by Wizards of the Coast

Here we have a cooperative game for 3 to 6 players for ages 12 years and up. This board game has multiple lay-outs for multiple scenarios that makes this game different every time you play. Players experience one mystic misadventure after another until . . . one of the players turns on the others.

I think it would be a great game to play at your Halloween Party. You can wear costumes, you have prepared good food that fits the Halloween theme and refreshing drinks with creepy names. You have spooky background music. The only thing missing is something to tie this all together. And that is an imaginary visit to explore “that creepy old place on the hill”.

Betrayal At House On The Hill is hours of fun for friends and family to play during this Halloween season. It will definitely give you thrills and chills!

I’ve always thought going “trick-or-treating” was for young children. I enjoyed it when I was young. It’s something kids look forward to and parents do, too. Then there comes a time when roaming the streets at night knocking on doors for Halloween candy loses its charm and a Halloween feast is in order at home with family . . . or with friends . . . or with both.

If it’s about the candy, then you can have a variety around and even make up “trick or treat” bags of goodies for your guests to take home.

All Hollows Eve can still be exciting without going out in the night. It’s more about having a safe time and enjoying a fun evening. Eating a delicious, yet spooky meal and setting up a creepy game of Betrayal At House On The Hill. It will truly be a memorable Halloween.
