Tri Cornered Pirate Hat You Can Make — Free Printable

Tri Cornered Pirate Hats are fun for kids of all ages. Even Chuckles, my dapper skull enjoys wearing it from time to time. He enjoys the eye-patch, too. This project is made from brown wrapping paper at least 2 feet wide and 4 feet long.

You’re going to need a bowl about the size of the head that’s going to be wearing it, three twist ties, scissors, a pencil and glue. Plus the directions that include the eye-patch and emblems you may want to add to your brown paper tri cornered pirate hat.

Meet Chuckles — Free Printable

A paper skull doesn’t give me that creepy feeling that I get with the ones that are formed from some plastic concoction . . . I hope it’s some plastic concoction and not the real thing, but it makes me wonder. . . they do look and feel real. Yeah, like I would know.

I’ve named him Chuckles, because as I’m looking at him from over my laptop, he is happy about something. I’m sure I don’t want to know. The joke may be on me.

He may be anticipating visiting you at your house sometime very soon.

Here are the Free Templates to print out on heavy white cardstock:

Print out the Instructions on regular paper.

Chuckles Assembly Instructions

Chuckles

Optional Base

Chuckles doesn’t like the base, he likes to be “free standing” in all his skullness.

I wonder if he’d like to visit my dentist. Chuckles is a true testimonial to brushing and flossing after each meal and limited sugary snacks.

I have a great Haunted House I’d like to share with you with free templates. It’s a true treasure with a secret chamber.  The construction is quite involved, but well worth the effort.

Halloween Party Favor Treat Cone With Free Templates

Halloween is an excellent time to have Party Favors for your guests. I consider Trick-or-Treaters guests, too. Without them scurrying up and down the street, Halloween wouldn’t be worth celebrating. I enjoy the variety of costumes and the enthusiasm these youngsters bring to make the night exciting for those of us who are home handing out the candy.

These Halloween Treat Cones are easy to make, fun to decorate and I do enjoy looking for just the right candies to put inside. The Free Template has the pattern printed on it and there’s another Free Template that gives a Halloween sentiment.

I suggest you make a couple dozen of these to be the highlight of this Neighborhood Halloween Celebration.

Here are the free templates:  Halloween Striped Treat Cone and Halloween Party Circles

Now, what do you do?

You’re going to need a few things:

  • white card stock for the templates (also a color printer)
  • scissors
  • hole punch
  • curly ribbon in black and orange and regular black or orange ribbon
  • double sided tape
  • tissue paper
  • Halloween candy and small Halloween related items

Now, what?

  1. Print out the free templates on white card stock
  2. I would print out a dozen or so of the cone template and one or two of the party circles. There may be some expressions you like better than others to put on your party favors treat cones.
  3. Cut out the cone around the edges. Form it in a cone shape and secure it in place with the double sided tape.
  4. On both sides of the cone, punch a hole for the ribbon handle on top and embellishments on the sides. I like using curly ribbon to make them look festive and even to have loose ones to top off the top of the cone.
  5. I have a 2 1/4″ circle paper punch to cut out the party circles, but you can use a compass or jar lid that will give you the size circle you like. Or you can keep it a square for a different look. Once it’s cut out, put it on the front of your cone with double sided tape.
  6. Fill the cone with tissue paper — I like to tuck it in the pointy part of the cone to keep things from falling out. I also like to have some tissue paper peeking out to add color and to leave room for step 7.
  7. Fill it up with Halloween candy and Halloween related items you picked up along with the candy.

There you have it! Once you’ve done your first dozen, you may decide you need another for friends, neighbors and unexpected guests.

There’s the right way and the wrong way to let the late Trick-or-Treaters know that you’re out of candy or just had enough of answering the door — you have a life and your favorite program just came on or you want to relax in your favorite chair and read a good book . . . or read the Legend of Sleepy Hollow or some Poe Poems. You can put it in a frame and set it on your porch bench or table, print it out on glossy photo paper or make a fancy wreath with this in the center.

I’ve printed mine on glossy photo paper and used the blue painter’s tape rolled behind it to attach it to my door so it wouldn’t leave a mark when I remove it. I have a round wreath I bought at K Mart a few years ago on my door and this fits perfectly inside.

Oh My Goodness! Just punch a hole in the top center, put an orange ribbon through it and hang it on your door knob like a Do Not Disturb Sign. You’ve had a busy day, you need to get off your feet and enjoy yourself.

It’s a fun and clever sign you may want to save and use year after year.

Awesome Free Printable Halloween Liter Soda Bottle Labels For Your Party Guests

For this Awesome Free Printable, you’re going to need legal size paper to print it all out on one sheet. This is definitely worth buying the ream of legal size paper or, if you prefer, get it printed out at your local copy center. I prefer doing my projects at home and having everything handy no matter what time of day or night I decide to work. I may also need to buy several different sodas and replace those that are empty throughout the party. Or, you can decide on just the flavors you know your guests will enjoy. I think they are all clever and I want to give my guests choices of:  Zombie Virus, Witches Brew, Devil’s Delight, Jack-o-Lantern Juice, or Spider Venom.

The Zombie Virus works well with a green bottle like 7-Up, Mountain Dew or Sprite. Jack-o-Lantern Juice has to be orange soda. With the Witches Brew you have a choice of going green or try grape soda or be bold with root beer. The Devil’s Delight would go well with something red and fruity. Then there’s the Spider Venom which would be excellent for the cola drink of your choice.

It’s your party, buy what you like and slap on the labels! Variety may be nice, but not necessary.
