Pumpkin Carving is a definite tradition in America. Halloween just wouldn’t be the same without having carved pumpkins decorating porches with a lit candle inside. Now, how those pumpkins are decorated is a real work of art. Some paint faces on their pumpkins freehand or use templates and there are those who go to great lengths to carve their pumpkins by scraping and basically sculpting an image. For most of us, we find an appropriate template to use to guide us through the process and to the finished result.
Scary faces are popular and some not so scary. These are the easiest and the most traditional, since I’m into traditions.
Here’s one you may enjoy.

Many jigsaw puzzle artists capture the absolute essence of All Hollow’s Eve. I especially like all the activity that’s taking place on this evening we know so well and can imagine how it once was in that particular town. It gives a feeling of nostalgia. This is an excellent puzzle the whole family will enjoy putting together. It won’t take too long with only 500 pieces. I know its early in the season, but with the thunder shower we were experiencing, this puzzle seemed appropriate to put together. It was a nice way to spend the evening.

We had some rain last night and it’s still overcast with more rain predicted. I felt like making something different this morning for an after church get-together and decided on something quick and easy, but it doesn’t look all that quick and easy. This is when being a bit creative and thinking outside the box comes in handy.

I know how popular cake pops are and I do enjoy making them, but I was thinking there has to be an easier, more direct way of getting this done. Of course, someone was way ahead of me.
That’s right, a cake pop pan! If you don’t have one, you can get one Here actually I would buy at least two.

And you’ll soon see why it’s perfect for this recipe.
You’ll also need:
- cooking spray
- 1 can (12.4 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- cake pop sticks
All right, here we go:
- Spray the cake pop pan with non-stick spray.
- Stack two cinnamon rolls on top of each other with the cinnamon topping on the inside and cut into fourths.
- Put each 1/4 piece of cinnamon roll into a section of the cake pop tray. Place the cake pop tray lid over the bottom, lock in place and bake for approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
- You may want to heat up the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls to make it easier for drizzling over the top of each cinnamon roll cake pop.
- Add cake pop sticks and you’re done!
- Now stand back, I hear the stampede of a hungry crowd coming your way.

This Interactive Toy Concept Wi Spi Helicopter bridges the gap between a toy and a serious tool for taking pictures and videos. And isn’t that what you want people to believe when they see the helicopter hovering over their yard, that it’s “just a toy.”
This reminds me of the amateur sleuths of all ages who are out to solve a mystery.
If you’re into photography and want to take those birds-eye-view shots, this is the camera for you. You can take video, too.
Onboard camera takes digital videos and pictures
- Wi-fi control using Apple and Android smart devices
- 7 minute flights on a single charge
- With Gyroscope technology
You may be into radio controlled helicopters and this takes it to the next level. I find this Wi Spy Helicopter unique and a “must have” at the price.
