Yes, Indeed, It Will Be Here Before You Know It
I know I did rush right into Easter . . . but I’m slowing down a bit and get with the calendar.
And I’ll do you one better . . . I’ll include St. Patrick’s Day . . . All Free Printables.
Yes, I have been focused on crafts lately. And it may continue for awhile . . .
I’m getting serious about paper crafts . . . getting into the mechanics of the process . . . and seeing what I can make on my own . . .
I’ve shared with you several 3-D free printables from various websites. I do appreciate them as you may also. But there does come a time when it is necessary to venture out and create some unique designs for yourself.
It would also be a challenge for me to be able to complete a project from concept to completion.
With the New Year, it is always nice to have a goal to work towards throughout the year. And, if it takes me longer, it will merely be a continuation into the next New Year.
I do enjoy the flexibility of goals. They remain a goal until completed . . . and since they are your goals, they can be altered from time to time to reflect the new direction you may be moving.
As Promised, Here’s St. Patrick’s Day Mickey
Yes, he is a candy box.
It’s fun to give these throughout the year. I love it when children save them and set them up in their bedroom on a bookcase shelf. It does make a colorful display.
And since Mickey Mouse is into the St. Patrick’s Day Spirit . . . Minnie Mouse decided to join in the fun. Soon you will have two more candy boxes to make and share with those loved ones who are Mickey and Minnie Mouse Fans.
This should keep you busy and ahead of schedule.
It’s delightful to be ahead of the holiday than rushing and trying to catch up.
I know the stores get things out for Valentine’s Day right after Christmas. They are reminders for us to get them now before it is too late.
I don’t know if there are Valentine’s Day parties at your child’s school. If so, you’ll need to either make Valentine’s Day cards for handing out to classmates or purchase them . . . if you make them, you can get creative.
It’s always fun to give cards with treats in them. Or that have a fun theme that features a favorite Disney character. There are plenty for both boys and girls.
Remember to click the image to be taken to the download page.
This wraps up another post . . . come on back to see what I’ve added. I do try to add something new every other day, but sometimes time does get away from me.
Until next time,

I Love Paper Crafts!!
And paper crafts with a purpose . . . are even better.
Do you remember the classic game of “pin the tail on the donkey”?
Well, we’ve come a long long way from that . . . we can pin the tail on Eeyore or Bullseye. And instead of using pins or tacks we’re using double-sided tape.
It is still a fun game for children. Each tail has the name of the child on it so you’ll know which child got the closest to sticking the tail on Eeyore or Bullseye.
Toy Story’s Bullseye Pin The Tail activity for preschoolers is basically the same . . . but instead of having paper tails and double-sided tape, the tails are made from felt and the children can decorate them with all kinds of goodies like craft-foam shapes, pieces of cut paper, ribbons, buttons and stars, hearts or stickers.
The felt tails are glued on top of self-adhesive craft foam circles.
The children do need to be supervised during the “art” part of the activity as well as during the game. And it would be a good idea to print the name of the child on his/her creation. During the excitement of the game, they may forget which tail they made and all will claim the “winning” tail . . . but . . . it is wise to have participation prices for all of the children. And the winner of the game can wear a felt star or metal made by the teacher.
Just click the image and you’ll be taken to family.disney.com where you can print out the game.
These are free for you to print on your computer and use them for a birthday party or other celebration.
I remember not liking being blindfolded and then being spun around . . . but it was fun to stick the tail in my hand on the donkey. It was fun to watch the other children stick the tail on the head or off the paper.
I don’t remember getting prizes . . . it was the fun of the activity that counted. But that was a long long time ago. Times have definitely changed.
I hope you enjoyed this post and will tell your friends about TwoCansOnAString.com
Until next time,

Yes, TwoCansOnAString.com is ready for Easter
You’ve probably concluded that I’ve been procrastinating.
Well, yes and no . . . I’ve been thinking . . . thinking about crafts and how to make them work for me. I love doing various crafts for all of the holidays. I’ve been watching a lot of “how to” videos and doing a lot of research. Just when I think I know what’s going on . . . I realize I don’t know where I’m going . . . and if I don’t know where I’m going, I can’t help get you there either.
I’ve been thinking long and hard about the process. I am amazed how people figure out their templates for boxes and how they can add other parts that all seem to fold into place.
Yes, I did get lost within this “figuring” process. One minute things are so clear, then in the next . . . it’s lost.
I don’t know about you.
I just know it’s important to make things easy so you can spend some quality time making some exciting Easter boxes to fill with Easter goodies for your family.
I guess it is all about the children, but adults are just big kids at heart, too.
Minnie Mouse’s Easter Candy Box
Disney characters are always popular.
For Easter, Minnie Mouse is on the scene. She’s been out and about gathering Easter goodies.
You’ll be able to assemble her quite easily and she has a box you can fill with your favorite Easter goodness. Just click the image and you’ll be taken to the download page. The free print-able is complete with instructions for assembling these delightful boxes.
I love these! They’re great for decorating a shelf or a mantle. I have a table in my entry that I fill with these candy boxes. You see, Family.Disney.com has the whole “family” of characters decked out for Easter.

Yes, I May Be A Bit Late With This
But a free printable is welcome any ol’ time as far as I’m concerned.
R2-D2 has always been a favorite Star Wars droid. And, right here, right now you can click the image and print it out. You’ll need to assemble it, but that’s fun to do. And then you can have your very own droid.
It’s a great craft for your kids . . . depending upon their age. Print out several and they’ll have plenty to make and share with their friends.
I know of several adults who would love to have one of these little guys on their desk or book shelf. It is a definite conversation piece.
Soon, all family and friends would be asking you where you got it . . . and if you could make one for them.
I do love these 3D images from family.disney.com they are colorful and great fun to print out and assemble.
I hope you enjoy this R2-D2 Paper Craft.

I Absolutely Adore The Bird Crazy Die Set
Yes, it’s Sizzix and it’s a Tim Holtz die set.
You’ll need a Sizzix machine and some other items. To get started with scrap booking or creating your own cards and invitations . . . even whimsical gift boxes and tags . . . these birds could be your signature piece . . . they are so cool and will accompany you throughout the year . . . for every holiday and celebration.
Aren’t they adorable!!! They each seem to have their own personality . . . I don’t know if the designer Tim Holtz named these birds, but you can . . . They can be guys or gals . . . they can be all guys or all gals . . . once you buy them, they’re yours to embellish however you choose.
Are you excited?
I hope so. This is a wonderful adventure into die cutting, embossing, stamping, coloring and adding some creative touches to your new “friends.”
Like I said, you’ll need some other items to go along with this die set, but it is all well worth it. And, if you’re just beginning on your journey into scrap booking, paper craftings, etc. this is a great place to begin.
You’ll need a Sizzix Die Cutting Machine
Here are some examples. They will get the job done . . . I prefer the easier the better . . . but some people like to go for something a bit more fancy. It all depends upon what you want to do with your Sizzix. I’m into paper crafts and I don’t mind cranking the handle.
The Vagabond is electric with a forward and reverse button. Many people like it, especially those with shoulder problems. Now the BigShots, the gray and white one is The Sizzex Big Shot Pro Plus. It has a wider platform which accommodates more materials and saves time by using multiple dies at once.
It’s all a matter of taste as to which Sizzix cutter you need. I’ve found I cut out images individually because I’m using different paper for different parts. But, when I have several dies to cut out using the same paper, it would be nice to have a wider cutting area. Just as with the need for a wider printer . . . but that’s on my wish list.
And Now For The Fun:
There are stamps and another die cutting set of balloons, hats, ties, glasses . . . one or several of your birds could be a witch or an Easter Bunny . . . you can have some fun with this collection.
You may want to check out more cutting dies, ink pads, stamps and paper. Or just have some fun with these birds. It will spur your imagination in delightful ways.
Many people take their die cutter/embosser to crafting parties. They also take it on vacation to get in some relaxation and creativity. It’s always fun to have family projects that are enjoyable for all ages. You’ll be amazed by how creative your kids truly are . . . and don’t discount the adults . . . even seasoned citizens . . . it is a good activity for them to join in, too.
My friend, Julie has a thing for birds. She finds pictures and puts them in various settings. She’s going to flip over this collection.
Enjoy!!! I hope this was an informative post for you . . . and maybe got you moving forward with your craft projects.

Do You Ever Get Confused About The Word “Eve”?
There’s “All Hollows Eve”, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve . . .
For the Halloween one, it seems to be a shortened version of “evening.” For the Christmas and New Year’s Eve meaning the “night before.”
But I could have it wrong . . . it’s how I see it.
In any event, I wish you a safe and sound New Year’s Eve. Yes, it will be a night of celebrating . . . some may be foolish and drive under the influence . . . please be safe and if at all possible, stay off the streets tonight. And caution your children . . . we want to have a Happy New Year, not start it out with heart ache, sorrow, loss or serious injury.
I know most people don’t think about such things . . . and it isn’t something to dwell upon, but a word of caution is important as a reminder.
I’ve Been Thinking
Always a dangerous thing to do . . .
I want to give you some sort of paper craft you can do with or for your family and friends. I think I’ve pretty much shared things in the past . . . and this is a last minute thing on my part . . .
I do love Ray Keim’s paper crafts. He is truly a master with the DisneyLand and DisneyWorld Haunted Mansion. I know it’s New Year’s Eve rather than All Hollows Eve . . . but when people gather . . . there are always ghost stories told or stories of strange or unusual or even funny events shared . . . and everyone seems to like these paper crafts . . . It will keep the family busy for quite some time.
It is a fun way to spend the day and through to the New Year. Just click the image and you’ll be able to print out the instructions and the actual pieces you’ll be putting together of this wonderful Liberty Square Paper Craft. And take some time to look at Ray’s website. There may be something you would prefer to download. It is a wonderful website.
You may want to help this talented artist out by giving him a donation to help him keep these paper crafts free.
For younger children, this Mickey and Friends Ice Skating Paper Craft Playset may be exactly what you need to keep children engaged this New Year’s Eve.
Just click the image and you’ll be taken to the page to download this winter playset.
This is great fun for children to engage with their favorite Disney icons. It’s good for children to use their imagination and come up with some sort of story . . . perhaps preparing the a great ice skating race or a delightful ice skating talent show. Children have better imaginations . . . maybe you can give your children a little boost in seeing what story they could create to go with this delightful playset.
I downloaded mine on card stock to make them a bit more durable. They do get a workout when children are playing and racing their favorite character to the finish line . . .
Have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve!!!
