A Thousand Little Cuts

How Does The Mind Cope With Trauma?

A mysterious journey unfolds as a resilient young woman awakens in the confines of a hospital, her memory shattered by unknown circumstances. With a skilled psychologist delving into her past, uncovering fragments of a harrowing event, and a relentless police detective demanding answers, her subconscious fights to protect her from unlocking the truth. Enigmatic revelations emerge, intertwining past and present in a gripping narrative that captivates the senses. Embark on an extraordinary tale of resilience and intrigue, where memories hold the key to a hidden truth waiting to be discovered.

This Is An Intriguing Concept . . .

Our minds are quite amazing — a group of people can experience the same event and each one will have a different take on it — could be due to one’s physical placement or other factors could be involved. And then there are the times when people are brainwashed to believe something they otherwise would not.

Thoughts About A Thousand Little Cuts

Unraveling incidents to get a clear picture of what actually happened is a process — plus dealing with the truths revealed . . . and then it comes to not questioning those memories . . . But the mind does have the tendency to protect . . . And then, we justify our choices and decisions . . . Life seems quite complicated. We may know what we know and there is a right and wrong to it — as well as the legal side of things. How things play out . . . and what we do is an issue . . .

This was a good movie. It makes you think about what you would do or would have done given the circumstances of Anne’s life. I know for one thing, I would be unable to continue living where the tragic event happened — I would probably replay the event over and over and over again from time to time. No telling what would trigger the memory . . . Watch the movie and decide for yourself!

I believe that most individuals have played Monopoly at some point in their lives. Personally, I found the game to be enjoyable, although I never considered competing seriously. Undoubtedly, there are skills and strategies involved, and luck can also play a significant role. Regardless, I take pleasure in engaging in board games with my loved ones.

The documentary tells the history of the game and how it is still going strong in its various editions. It is more than merely a fun game — it is a learning tool to help with basic math skills. For some it is the first time some had money to count in their hands. It is an experience many will never forget.

I Was Thinking About The Tokens

I don’t know if I had a favorite. I liked the top hat and the thimble. I may have used the iron and the wheel barrel at some point. Oh, and the Scotty Dog!

The Under The Boardwalk Prime Video Was Informative

I did learn a lot about the game. I had no idea there was a national competition. It wasn’t anything I gave much thought to, but it was a competition everyone could try to qualify. You don’t need great strength or special skills. It’s a game everyone can play. I encourage you to view the video and dig out that old Monopoly game you have tucked away in the closet and have a game night with your family and friends.

Sitting In Bars With Cake — An Amazon Original Movie

Sitting In Bars With Cake — An Amazon Original Movie

It’s quite an interesting concept and a truly heart-warming story! It’s about two best friends — one is more of a free spirit than the other, but this is what is so great and so wonderful about their friendship.

Then the unthinkable happens . . . This is a journey you’ll want to take in this movie — have a box of tissues handy.

Jane and Corrine are best friends. They work at Capital Records in Los Angeles. Jane has plans to go to Law School, but she loves baking cakes.

Corrine comes up with this wild idea of taking Jane’s cakes to bars in order to meet people and build Jane’s confidence. The plan is to bake 50 cakes in a year — one a week.

Amazon Prime Has A Wonderful Selection Of Movies And Series — Plus Amazon Originals

I Enjoy Selecting And Watching Movies As The Mood Strikes Me

I remember when I had the cable movie channels. I was stuck with their schedule and their selection. We did have the option of renting movies or buying the videos. I personally enjoy not having the clutter in my house. Yet I have a wonderful selection of movies and more available to me “on demand” with Amazon Prime Video.

I highly recommend you become an Amazon Prime Member — you’ll get more value than only movies, but this is something you need to check out and decide for yourself. I enjoy watching movies and series and documentaries, etc. on my laptop. I can sit in any place in my house and even out on my patio to view my movies or work on my websites.

I enjoy my leisurely lifestyle. I do thank you for stopping by!

Medium — A Beautiful Series On Amazon Prime

Medium — A Beautiful Series On Amazon Prime

The genre of Medium is Suspense, Drama, and Fantasy. This series centers around a woman who has dreams about crimes. She is married and has three daughters — and there is plenty of drama.

The main characters of Allison DuBois — Patricia Arquette, Joe DuBois — Jake Weber, and Manuel DeValos — Miguel Sandoval along with others make up this delightful series.

It’s never my intention to give spoilers , , , but . . . I must say that this series ended very well in my opinion. I believe it followed the basic premise of life with its ups and downs and natural progressions,

This is an entertaining series. There were times I became frustrated — it may speak more of me than the series or the behaviors of the various characters. Yet I did want to watch every season, There have been some series I watch a few episodes and move on, but not with Medium.

I Believe Medium Is A Worthwhile Series To Binge Watch — I Did!

You can escape and get caught up in the characters and the actions. It tells a slice of life we may never experience, fortunately, for ourselves. It is about crime, the awful things in society, and the lives of those who investigate such issues.

I encourage you to take a look at it or re-experience it from when you watched it back in the early 2000s when it was originally broadcast on television.

The Book Vs. The Movie Which Is Better?

Over The Past Several Months I’ve Been Watching Movies — More Than Once — And In Some Cases I Felt I Wanted More Information About The Movie Or The Characters In Particular.

It became clear to me that I needed to see if the movie was based on a book — so I did some research and found that there are audible books available — this was so very helpful . . .

I did receive the information I was seeking and I thoroughly enjoyed having a book read to me. I’m enjoying audible as much as I’m enjoying watching movies.

I Do Have An Active Imagination

While listening to an audiobook, I can close my eyes and actually see what I’m hearing. I find it quite amazing.

Of course the authors are quite talented, but so are the narrators or readers — many have beautiful voices and do make changes with the different characters they’re depicting.

This is a time for me to relax and truly get into the story being told to me.

Welcome to TwoCansOnAString.com. I’ve been in “holiday mode” for quite some time thinking about this website and my newest one. I was basically looking for inspiration, tips, or suggestions and discovered some wonderful “good reads”. You seriously can’t go wrong with audiobooks — if that is at all your thing. This has truly been a great adventurous journey for me. You may want to join me by selecting some audiobooks in a genre of your choice. I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.

There Are Countless Things You Can Do Around The House While Listening To Your Audiobook

I’d suggest minimizing the use of the vacuum cleaner and refraining from making excessive noise, but you can certainly engage in light housekeeping activities to maintain tidiness around your home. It makes dusting and cleaning much more enjoyable while listening to a good book in the genre of your choice.

This is quite a comprehensive list I’ve gotten from Audible’s website. I’m sure there is something there that appeals to you and everyone in your family.

I’ve been exploring other genres that previously I would not have considered, It has definitely opened up a new world to me. That’s true with Amazon Prime as well. I’ve gotten into some genres that I ignored for much too long.

This is an excellent time for me to re-examine some of the classics I may not have fully understood when they were first introduced to me. Plus there is truly something about having a story read to you. It brings back memories of my childhood — Although I enjoyed being read to, I was eager to learn to read on my own. Now, in my latter years, I’m gravitating back to wanting to have stories read to me. Go figure.

The best thing about Audible or audiobooks is that you don’t need bookcase space. I know for some of you, you enjoy the feel of an actual book in your hands. I personally don’t miss it. I really enjoy having an audible library of hundreds of books without cluttering up my house.

Which is better? The book or the movie? I would have to say it depends on the book and the movie. I would think each offers something unique — it all depends upon you and how you interpret what you’ve read or viewed.

I encourage you to give Audible a try. And leave me a comment telling me your thoughts on the matter.

Thanks for stopping by!
