Homemade Snicker Bars Recipe

These are absolutely delicious and not that difficult to make.homemade-snickers-bars

This is one candy bar that seemed to be the right combination of everything I craved in a candy bar. Now I can make them myself!

Let’s get started!

  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips for the bottom layer of the Snickers Bar
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter to be mixed with the chocolate chips for the bottom layer of the Snickers Bar
  • 7 ounces marshmallow cream
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 11 ounces of caramels
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips for the top layer of the Snickers Bar
  • 3 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter to be mixed with the chocolate chips for the top layer of the Snickers Bar

  1. Line an 11 x 7-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Place the chocolate chips with 3 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter in a microwavable bowl. Set in the microwave for about a minute. Stir until the peanut butter and chocolate chips are combined and smooth. If necessary, microwave for a few more seconds.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate/peanut butter mixture in the prepared pan. Spread evenly and put in the freezer for 2 to 3 minutes to harden.
  4. In a clean bowl, you’re going to put in the marshmallow cream, 1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter and the powdered sugar.
  5. Using a wooden spoon or spatula stir until it forms a soft doughy consistency.
  6. Remove the “dough” and press it with your fingers on top of the chocolate layer in the pan that should have hardened in the freezer.
  7. Sprinkle the peanuts on top and gently press them in the doughy layer.
  8. In a small saucepan add the caramels and heavy cream. Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly until the caramels have melted. Then pour it into the pan over the peanuts layer in the pan. Spread it evenly with the back of a spoon.
  9. Refrigerate for 5 minutes or until set.
  10. In a microwavable bowl, you’re going to melt a cup of chocolate chips and the 3 tablespoons of peanut butter as you did for the bottom layer. (See Step 2)
  11. Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
  12. Place the pan in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

When you’re ready to serve, cut into bars with a sharp knife. This will be a delicious treat and surprise for your family and friends.

No Bake Chocolate Bird Nest Cookies Recipe

A No Bake Chocolate Cookie that’s excellent for spring and just in time for Easter. You make these little bird nests with a minimum of ingredients that can be decorated with chocolate mini eggs and maybe even a Peep chick. The kids may want to help you out.

  • 1 (12 oz) bag milk chocolate chips
  • 1 (12 oz) bag butterscotch chips, more chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips
  • 1 (12 oz) bag chow mien noodles
  • Cadbury mini chocolate eggs, but you can use M&Ms or Jelly Beans or whatever you like.
  • Peeps if nest is large enough.

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butterscotch and/or peanut butter chips together in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.
  2. Stir in chow mien noodles.
  3. Spray muffin tins lightly with cooking spray. If you are making the larger nests to fit a peep inside, mold into large greased muffin tins.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls into a greased muffin tin and mold into nest shapes.
  5. Let set. You may want to place in the refrigerator to help them set up quicker.
  6. Place eggs and/or peeps on top.

Now that was easy!!! Enjoy!

Easy No Bake Pilgrim Hat Dessert

I’m into easy, no-bake recipes.

Well, that a definite laugh to call this a recipe.

What you see is what it is!

  1. Buy a bag or box of Oreo cookies
  2. Buy some mini peanut butter cups
  3. Buy square sprinkles or get some red hots
  4. You’ll also need chocolate frosting

Now, let’s assemble this simple no-bake Pilgrim Hat:

  1. Get out an Oreo cookie.
  2. You may want to either open up the Oreo cookie and scrape out the white frosting in the center and use just the one cookie portion for the hat brim OR you can scrape out the white frosting and replace with chocolate frosting OR cover the white frosting with a bit of chocolate frosting and roll in some chocolate sprinkles OR any other clever thing you can think of.
  3. Put a bit of chocolate frosting on the top of the peanut butter cup and place it in the center top of the oreo cookie.
  4. Find a little square candy sprinkle to use for the hat decoration or use a red hot. Secure in place with a dab of chocolate frosting.

There you have a clever Pilgrim Hat and you didn’t bake a thing. It will be a lovely dessert everyone will love and think you’re so clever!

Root Beer Float Pie Recipe

It may seem unbelievable, but you can make this Root Beer Float Pie without baking, you just need your refrigerator.

The ingredients are simple enough as is the process. Are you ready to begin?

You’re going to need:

9 inch graham cracker crust which you can find in your grocery freezer section or you can make your own:

  • Ingredients:
  •  1 ½ cups of Ground Graham Crackers (grind it up using your food processor — I wonder if the blender would work?)
    ¼ cup of Sugar
½ cup of Unsalted Butter, set out to soften at room temperature
  • Directions:
  •  In a large bowl mix all 3 ingredients until the dough comes together when pinched between your fingers.
Press into a 9 inch baking pan.
    Refrigerate before using.

8 ounces of frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 package instant vanilla pudding mix

3/4 cup cold root beer

1/2 cup milk could be low-fat

Let’s get this mixed up:

1. In a large bowl you’re going to whisk the root beer, milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes.

2. You’ll need 1/2 a cup of whipped topping for garnish, so set that aside and refrigerate.

3. Fold in half of the remaining whipped topping into the root beer, milk and pudding mix mixture.

4. Spread into the graham cracker crust.

5. Spread the remaining 1/2 of the whipped topping over the pie.

6. Refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight.

When serving you’ll need the 1/2 cup of whipped topping you set aside to put a spoonful or so on each piece and top with a maraschino cherry.

This recipe makes 8 servings more or less depending upon how large or small you cut the pieces.

No bake recipes are fun and refreshing. Absolutely great for National Root Beer Float Day August 6!

But this is a great recipe you may want to make at another time of the year.
